Granite Peak Group intends granitepeakgroup.store to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or voice control. This page states where we are, honestly, and how to tell us when we fall short.

Standard we work to

We build against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We do not claim full conformance; we claim that it is the standard we test against and the standard we fix against.

What we have done

• Text and interface colors are chosen by measured contrast ratio, not by eye. Body text meets or exceeds 4.5:1 against its actual background, and large text meets or exceeds 3:1.
• Every page can be operated by keyboard alone, in a logical order, with a visible focus indicator.
• Images that carry meaning have alternative text describing the product; decorative imagery is hidden from assistive technology.
• Headings are used in a real hierarchy rather than for visual sizing, so a screen reader can navigate the page structure.
• Form fields at checkout have programmatically associated labels, and errors are described in text rather than by color alone.
• The layout is fluid and reflows to 320px without horizontal scrolling, and text can be resized to 200% without loss of content.
• Nothing on the site flashes, auto-plays or moves without the user starting it.

Known limitations

The hosted payment field at checkout is supplied by our payment provider and rendered inside their frame; its accessibility is determined by them rather than by us. Describe the page and what happened. We treat accessibility defects as defects: we acknowledge within two business days and we tell you when it is fixed. If you cannot complete a purchase because of an accessibility barrier, we will complete it for you over the telephone at the same price.

How we test

Contrast is measured programmatically against the computed background of each element rather than judged by eye, and the build does not ship if any text falls below its required ratio. Keyboard traversal, focus visibility and reflow to 320px are checked on every page before release. We test with VoiceOver on macOS and iOS and with keyboard-only navigation in Chrome and Safari. We do not rely on an automated scanner alone; automated tools catch perhaps a third of real barriers.

We will take the whole order over the phone, read the specifications back to you, confirm the total including shipping before anything is charged, and email a written confirmation. There is no surcharge for ordering this way and the price is identical.

If you need an invoice, a specification, or any part of this site in a different format — large print, plain text, or read to you over the telephone — ask and we will provide it at no charge.
